Computers in the Library

UAFS Students/Faculty:

1st floor: Computers are located near the Reference-area in the southern part of the building. 

2nd floor: Computers are located in the main reading area in the southern part of the building.


Public Computers:

Boreham Library currently has no computers for public use. Please visit the Fort Smith Public Library for your computer needs.

Computer Labs at UAFS

UAFS has several computer labs located on-campus.  For a listing of these labs and their hours, please visit this link from IT Services.

Software and Computer Programs

The library has four flatbed scanners available.  Two scanners are located in the computer area on the 1st floor of the library, one set up for public patrons, and two scanners are set up in the 24 hour computer lab.

There is a Knowledge Imaging Center (KIC) scanner that is great for scanning parts of books. It is in the main lobby and uses a large format scanner that goes to the edge and a touch screen interface. Unlike the copy machines, scans aren't limited to 10 pages and it does not require an ID. This scanner only saves digital files which can be saved to a flash drive or sent to your email; no print outs.

The copy machines are also equipped with scanners and are located on each floor of the library. You can use the copy machines to scan up to 10 pages at a time and send them to yourself via email or save to a flash drive. You do not need a UAFS ID card to scan.

If you need help with scanning, please ask the library staff.

WiFi Set-up

A similar process to the linked instructions can be used to connect your phones and other wireless devices to the WiFi networks.
