Search Strategy

Start research with a search strategy. Try these steps:

  • Choose keywords that describe your topic.
  • Decide what kinds of information you need  - background information, articles, books, statistics.  Different types of assignment require one or multiple types of information.
  • Start your research using recommended databases or book catalogs for your topic.
  • Keep track of references you plan to use in your bibliography by using Zotero or another citation manager to build your bibliography.
