Binaural Beats

When an individual listens to stereo, the different frequencies received by each ear are converted by the brain into a different third stereo sound.   This auditory illusion, called a binaural beat, has been used as a form of sound wave therapy.  Although this therapy is not yet supported by scientific evidence, use of binaural beats may produce benefits similar to use of meditation and result in stress reduction, relaxation, creativity, and an improved mood.
