Critical evaluation of web sites is very important. The following critieria are among those used to assess the value and reliability of individual sites:
- Accuracy Are statistics, quotes, details, or references provided?
- Authority What are the credentials of the person/organization responsible for the web site?
- Bias/Objectivity Is the information biased due to viewpoints of the organization creating the site?
- Completeness Does the information provide a well-rounded assessment of the topic?
