"The more strikingly visual your presentation is, the more people will remember it. And more importantly, they will remember you."

-Paul Arden

What is a research poster presentation?

Research posters are widely used in academic conferences as a way for scholars to share work in progress and to gain valuable feedback from their peers about their work. They are designed to summarize information and present it in an attractive way that generates discussion. Generally, posters are a combination of text mixed with visuals to explain aspects of the research project.

A research poster IS:

  • a visual representation of research in progress.
  • a clear, concise presentation of ideas.
  • a vehicle for conversation.

A research poster IS NOT:

  • an entire research article or paper.
  • shameless self-promotion.
  • a shallow representation of your work.
