Zotero: Creating Bibliographies

Zotero [zoh-TAIR-oh] is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources. It lives right where you do your work—in the web browser itself.

CAUTION!

The citations that Zotero generates are based on the information provided by a database, which won't necessarily be perfect. You can't trust that a Zotero-generated bibliography will be 100% ready for you to copy and paste into your paper, but Zotero can help you get started so that you won't have to create your bibliography from scratch, saving you a great deal of work.

Double-check the items in your Zotero-generated bibliography against our citation guide or an official style handbook to make sure that they're in accordance with the style you're using.
