Background Information and Book Search Hints

Background sources are useful for providing definitions, key names, and suggestions for more sources.  These types of sources often show up as dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks and similar tools.   Some background sources are also online as databases.  Credo Reference is one example.  CREDO is listed in the Database list.
