Here are a few extra pointers:

  • Creating an account in the library's databases will give you an efficient way to save articles.  And it's free!
  • As you research, go ahead and start your bibliography or references page by identifying and formatting correctly all the elements that will go into your bibliography page for each reference as you consult it.  (See the APA Format tab at the left for help.)  You can also create a template in Word, format it correctly, and add each reference to it every time you consult a new source.  Then all you have to do is alphabetize your Bibliography once your paper is finished.    The link below has some suggestions for doing this.
  • Look through the bibliographies of sources you find.  This may lead you to other important work on your topic that you don't want to overlook.
  • Be careful as you take notes so that you know where your ideas have come from.  This will prevent unintentional plagiarism as you write your paper.
  • Make an appointment with your Liaison Librarian if you need help.  See the first page of this guide for information on how to contact your Business Liaison.
